Oversigt
MS Maud, tidligere MS Midnatsol, er opkaldt efter en af de mest berømte polarfartøjer gennem tidene, Roald Amundsens ‘Maud’ fra 1917. Den oprindelige ‘Maud’ fik sit navn fra den første dronning i det moderne Norge. Hun havde også sit navnefælle i Hurtigruten Expeditions flagskib fra 1925, DS Dronning Maud (‘DS Queen Maud’).
