Located in British Columbia's high country, with magnificent scenery and clear fresh air - a genuine bit of the old West. Yet it is only four hours by car from Vancouver. A vast choice of horses are available from chestnuts, sorrels, bays, pintos and appaloosas - everything from gentle trail horses to lively, frisky mounts, all with good Western gear. With over 90 horses, the Ranch can cater to all levels of riding experience and is surrounded by thousands of acres of spectacular countryside to explore on horseback. Horses are what the Sundance is all about, but there are plenty of other activities to choose from, swimming (Sundance is located on one of the sunniest spots in Canada), tennis, pool, and Saturday night dancing.

Nestled deep in Central BC's Chilcotin Chilcotin region is the remote and unspoiled Nemaiah Valley. Although only 1 hour north of Vancouver by air, the Nemaiah Valley remains one of the untouched mountain valley gems of the Chilcotin.The spectacular setting of the Nemaiah Valley is home to the Elkin Creek Guest Ranch and central to the world-famous Wild Horses of the Brittany Triangle. Nestled between the imposing Mount Tatlow of the Coast Mountain Range and sparkling Vedan Lake are the 28,000 acres of the Elkin Creek Guest Ranch cattle operation. Many of the traditions of the early Chilcotin cowboys are still followed today. Visitors to the Elkin Creek Guest Ranch can choose to fill their days horseback riding with our wranglers, river kayaking, fly fishing, mountain biking, hiking on a variety of trails, sailing,windsurfing, fishing on pristine Vedan Lake or simply relaxing in the clear mountain air.

The sprawling acres of Rafter Six Ranch are nestled at the base of the Canadian Rocky Mountains, surrounded by Provincial Parkland and the Stoney Indian Reserve. The ranch is located where the Kananaskis Valley and the Bow Valley meet.

Homeplace Ranch, Priddis

Riding varies from mountain valleys to high foothills, crossing numerous streams, mountain meadows and old Indian trails. This type terrain allows you the chance to periodically trot or canter if desired. We have over 45 head of horses to satisfy the expert to novice rider. A horse is assigned to you when you arrive. Our wranglers will spend time showing you how to become comfortable and work with your mount. If you wish you can come out in the morning to help feed and groom.
